Adding a Connection for a Generic Database

If you store documents in a document management system that is not currently supported by West km, you can use a generic database to index those documents in West km. To implement this solution, you create a new database in Microsoft SQL Server, import data about the documents you want to index into the database, and then designate the database and document collection in West km for indexing.

For information on creating the generic database and importing data, refer to the West km Administrator Guide.

To add a connection for a generic database,

  1. Click Setup.
  2. Click the Data Source Management tab.
  3. On the Connections page, click New Data Source.
