Monitoring Full-Text Indexing

To view full-text indexing statistics, do one of the following:

In the Statistics table, a storage collection is listed if its documents are queued or processing or have failed. A storage collection can be listed multiple times, depending on the document activity. If a storage collection is not listed, its document are not queued, not processing, or successful.

The Statistics table shows the following data:

Shows this data:

Name

The name of the storage collection containing the documents to which the data applies.

Count

The number of documents queued, processing, completed, or failed (see Status below). Documents to be deleted are counted.

Status

The indexing status of the documents—queued, processing, completed, or failed.

Failed Attempts

The number of times the search component has tried to process the documents.


To update the statistics while full-text indexing is running, click Refresh in the left frame. (Refresh is available only when statistics are accessed from the HTML Storage page.)

To view the full-text indexing event log, complete these steps:

  1. Point to the Setup link, and then click HTML Storage.
  2. Under Collections, click Event Log. The event log is displayed in the right frame.
