Adding a Connection for ProLaw
To add a connection for ProLaw,
- Click Setup.
- Click the Data Source Management tab.
- On the Connections page, click New Data Source.
Enter the following information.

- Click Save.

If your organization uses ProLaw 11 or later, select this option. |
Server Name |
The name of the server where the database for ProLaw is located. (The server name must use only alphanumeric characters; underscores are not allowed.) |
Library |
The name of the database or library containing the documents you want to index. |
Use Windows Authentication |
A database account is used by default to access the database for ProLaw and the documents are you going to index. If you want to use a Windows account instead, select this option and contact your West km representative for more information. |
User Name and Password |
The user name and password for a database user account with access to the database for ProLaw. |
Collection |
Use this feature to add or edit document collections for this database. (You also have this option when you add document collections to West km. For details, see Adding or Editing a Document Collection.) To add a collection, click New from the drop-down list and type a collection name. To edit a collection already defined, click the collection name from the drop-down list. Enter any ProLaw criteria you want used to select documents for inclusion in this collection. You can enter dates in a variety of formats (e.g., 11/30/2012; 11-30-2012; November 30, 2012; 30 November 2012) and West km will recognize the date. If you don't enter any criteria, all documents in the database will be included.
