Changing Settings for iManage Work
If you are indexing documents stored in (iManage Work), make the following configuration changes.
Because the West km servers and your iManage Work product are installed on separate machines, you need to register the iManage .dll file on the each West km server that has the delivery or the indexing component installed. This .dll file allows West km servers to communicate with your organization’s document management server.
- Locate a computer that has the iManage Work client installed on it. If you have a 64-bit iManage Work server product, access a 64-bit iManage Work client. If you have a 32-bit iManage Work server product, access a 32- bit iManage Work client.
- On the client computer, find a file named IManage.dll (assuming you have not renamed the file). To find the .dll you can do one of the following:
- Go to the installation folder for the iManage Work client (e.g., [Drive]:\Program Files\Interwoven\WorkSite). Look for IManage.dll in that folder.
- Click the Start button, choose Run, type regedit, and then search for IManage.dll. When found, it will show you the location of the .dll.
- Search the hard drive for IManage.dll.
- Copy the IManage.dll file to the bin subfolder of the installation folder on the West km server, e.g., [Drive]:\Program Files\Thomson\KM\bin.
- At a command prompt on the West km server, type regsvr32
[West km installation folder]\bin\imanage.dll
and click OK.
For example, type regsvr32 "D:\program files\thomson\KM\bin\imanage.dll". - Repeat steps 3-4 for each West km server that has the delivery or the indexing component installed.
- Adjust the value for the Version setting at Setup, Data Source Management, Settings, iManage Work according to your iManage Work client .dll version.
The supported values for this setting are 1.0 and 8.0. If the .dll is numbered in a format of 1.#.#.#, set the value to 1.0. If the .dll is numbered in a format of 8.#.#.# or higher, set the value to 8.0.
To determine the iManage Work client .dll version, right-click IManage.dll, choose Properties, and click the Version tab. The .dll version is listed at the top of the dialog box as the File Version.
