Testing Rules
You can test a vetting rule to see which documents it retrieves. When you test a rule, results are returned for one DMS database/library at a time at the Test Results page. By default, up to 1,000,000 are retrieved.
To access the Test Results page,
- click Test next to a rule at the Vetting Rules page; or
- click Test Rule at the New Rule or Edit Rule page.
You can perform the following actions at the Test Results page:
- To access the next or previous set of documents in the result, click a page link or type a page number at the bottom of the Test Results table.
- To view retrieved documents for the rule from a different DMS database/library, from the Library list, select a DMS database/library.
- To change the order of the retrieved documents, click a column heading (e.g., Last Modified Date) to sort by that category.
- To view a copy of a document in its original format, click the document name.
- To filter the test results, click Add Filter, type your criteria in the text boxes, and click Apply. For details, see Filtering a Result List.
- To print the displayed test results, click the Print icon.
- To return to the rule page (e.g., Vetting Rules, New Rule, or Edit Rule page), click Back to Rule.
