DMS Settings for WorkSite (iManage)

To set options for Autonomy Interwoven WorkSite (iManage), on the System Options page, click DMS Settings and then click iManage. Make the changes you want to the settings on that page and click Save.

Note: DMS settings are displayed only for the document management systems for which a data source connection is set up. If you do not see the options for your DMS on the System Options, DMS Settings page, first add a data source connection. See Adding a Connection for Autonomy Interwoven WorkSite (iManage) for details.

Max Rows For Search

The maximum number of records to return for a WorkSite saved search.

Session Timeout

The session time-out value in seconds for the WorkSite connection.

IManage Version

The iManage client .dll version. Supported values are 1.0 and 8.0.

  • If the .dll is numbered in a format of 1.#.#.#, set the value to 1.0.
  • If the .dll is numbered in a format of 8.#.#.# or higher, set the value to 8.0.

User ID Required
User Password Required

Controls usage of WorkSite virtual user accounts and passwords for authenticating members. You may need to select these options (and populate the columns) if you use WorkSite for your DMS and use virtual logins rather than Windows integrated logins. If selected, WorkSite security will determine document access rights. If not selected, internal security logic is used to determine document access rights. By default, neither value is selected.

  • When User ID Required is selected, a DMS UserID column is added to the Professionals table, as well as a Server\DB column for the server and database to which the member has access.
  • When User Password Required is selected, a DMS Password column is added to the Professionals table. (If not present already, this will also add a Server\DB column for the server and database to which the member has access.)

More than one database may be accessible to one member; in this situation, a drop-down list is displayed in the Server\DB column. When adding or editing a member's information, you need to click the databases in the Server\DB drop-down list to which you want the member to have access and specify the member's DMS login information. The login information will apply to all selected databases.

Note: To enable these columns for eDOCS DM, you must also select the Use Individual Logins setting at System Options, DMS Settings, DM Settings.
