Adding a Connection for Autonomy Interwoven WorkSite (iManage)
To add a connection for WorkSite (iManage),
- Note the following requirements:
- Refer to the West km Administrator Guide for configuration changes that are needed if you are indexing documents stored in WorkSite.
- WorkSite saved searches that are used to identify documents in West km should be restricted to only the database on which the search exists. For example, if search folder Search1 exists on database DB1, then the search database specified should be DB1 and only DB1. Specifying any database other than DB1 may lead to duplicate documents being indexed by West km and may slow down the indexing process.
- WorkSite saved searches must be saved under My Folders or Other Folders in WorkSite Explorer. Saved searches that are saved outside of WorkSite Explorer (e.g., My Matters) or in subfolders will not appear in West km.
- West km does not process searches in WorkSite workspaces (a new feature in 8.0).
- It is recommended that sub-searches (a new feature in 8.0) not be used with West km, because duplicate documents that are retrieved by both the main search and the sub-search will error during indexing.
- Only one version of WorkSite server can work with West km at one time. West km will not function correctly if you have document collections from more than one version.
- Point to the Setup link, and then click Data Source Management.
- At the Data Source Management page, click Add Connection from the Tasks list.
Enter the following information.
-
If you want to select a library group for this data source, see Selecting a Library Group for details.

When this option is cleared (the default), West km uses the WorkSite API to access documents. When this option is selected, West km uses the UNC path to access documents. Select this option if the HTML Conversion indexing component fails when processing by component. When this option is selected, West km uses the remote access account configured on the West km system to access documents; the user account requires read and execute permissions to the WorkSite file server where the documents reside. |
