Adding a Connection for Autonomy Interwoven WorkSite (iManage)

To add a connection for WorkSite (iManage),

  1. Note the following requirements:
  1. Point to the Setup link, and then click Data Source Management.
  2. At the Data Source Management page, click Add Connection from the Tasks list.
  3. Enter the following information.

  4. Field Name

    Description

    Connection Type

    The data source used to manage the documents (i.e., iManage).

    DMS Server

    The name of the server where WorkSite is located. (The server name must use only alphanumeric characters; underscores are not allowed.)

    Database

    The name of the database or library containing the documents you want to index.

    Database Type

    The type of database that is used with WorkSite.

    DMS User ID and DMS Password

    The user ID and password for the WorkSite server login.

    Database Server

    If your organization uses Microsoft SQL Server for the WorkSite database, the name of the server where the database is located.

    Database Name

    For Microsoft SQL Server, the name of the database for WorkSite; for Oracle Database, the name of the database instance for WorkSite.

    Database User ID and Database Password

    For Microsoft SQL Server, the user ID and password of a user account with access to the database for WorkSite; for Oracle Database, the user ID and password of a user account with access to the database instance for WorkSite.

    Use UNC Path to Get Document Copy

    When this option is cleared (the default), West km uses the WorkSite API to access documents.

    When this option is selected, West km uses the UNC path to access documents. Select this option if the HTML Conversion indexing component fails when processing by component. When this option is selected, West km uses the remote access account configured on the West km system to access documents; the user account requires read and execute permissions to the WorkSite file server where the documents reside.


  5. If you want to select a library group for this data source, see Selecting a Library Group for details.

  6. Click Save.

To return to the listing of data source connections on the Data Source Management page, click Connections List.
