DMS Settings for ProLaw

To set options for ProLaw, on the System Options page, click DMS Settings and then click ProLaw. Make the changes you want to the settings on that page and click Save.

Note: DMS settings are displayed only for the document management systems for which a data source connection is set up. If you do not see the options for your DMS on the System Options, DMS Settings page, first add a data source connection. See Adding a Connection for ProLaw for details.

Author Setting

Determines which author field is used from ProLaw when indexing a document. Adding Professionals will use the name of the person who added the document to ProLaw. Prof Set will use the name of the person set in the ProLaw document metadata field.

Custom Fields

Allows you to map a custom field in West km to data in ProLaw.

Type the name of the field as it is known in ProLaw in tablename.fieldname format in the DMS Field text box.
If the field is not part of the Events, EventTypes, Professionals, EventMatters, or Matters table in ProLaw, specify how the field’s table is joined to one of those tables by typing a SQL statement in the JOIN text box.
