Adding a Connection for ProLaw
To add a connection for ProLaw, complete these steps:
- Point to the Setup link, and then click Data Source Management.
- At the Data Source Management page, click Add Connection from the Tasks list.
Enter the following information.

If you want to select a library group for this data source, see Selecting a Library Group for details.
- Click Save.

If desired, edit or add document collections for this database. (You also have this option when you add document collections to West km.
- Click the Add Collection button next to the Available Collections list box. (Or to edit a collection you've already defined, select the collection in the Available Collections list and click Edit Collection.)
- In the Document Collection dialog box, type a collection name and fill in any ProLaw criteria you want used to select documents for inclusion in this collection. If you don't indicate any criteria, all documents in the database will be included.
- Click Save.

Use Windows authentication for database |
If your organization uses a SQL Server database server for ProLaw, a database account is used by default to access the ProLaw database and the documents are you going to index. If you want to use a Windows account instead, select this option and contact your West km representative for more information. |

ProLaw XII (or above) |
If your organization uses ProLaw XII or later, select this option. |

Database User ID and Database Password |
The user ID and password for a database user account with access to the database used with ProLaw. |
|
Novell ID and Novell Password |
If your organization uses Novell network software, the user ID and password for the Novell server on which documents are stored. |
|
Novell IP |
If your organization uses Novell network software, the Novell NDS Server IP address. |
To return to the listing of data source connections on the Data Source Management page, click Connections List.
