Viewing the Search Component Engine

The Search Component Engine page lists the following information:

• Server: The server on which the search component is installed and that acts as your HTML respository/search server.

• Index File Location: the folder location (e.g., [Drive]:\HTMLStore\index) on the HTML respository/search server where index files for the search component are placed.

  Note: If you don't want index files on a local drive, a server and share can be designated using a UNC path (\\server\share\).

To access the Search Component Engine page,

1. Click Setup.
2. Click the HTML Storage tab.
3. In the left frame, click Search Component Engine.

You can edit the server and index file location on the Search Component Engine page by changing the values in the text boxes and clicking Save; however, this action updates only the West km database and should be completed only in context with other procedures for

• moving the search component to another server
• moving the index file location

It is recommended that you contact your West km representative for these procedures because they will involve one or more of the following actions:

• installing the search component on a new server
• manually copying index files to a new server or to a new location on the same server
• stopping and starting services
• manually updating the CCI search component database to reflect the new index file location
• moving the HTML storage location to another server
