Adding a Connection

To add a connection for NetDocuments,

  1. Point to the Setup link, and then click Data Source Management.
  2. At the Data Source Management page, click Add Connection from the Tasks list.
  3. Enter the following information.

    Description

    Connection Type

    The data source used to manage the documents (i.e., NetDocuments).

    Local Document Store URL

    The URL to your organization's local document store for NetDocuments. This is an internal website.

    Cabinet GUID

    The GUID for the NetDocuments cabinet (e.g., NG-4JPJW7B0) that contains the documents you want to index. You can get the cabinet GUID from the URL while you are on a cabinet’s home page in NetDocuments.

    Local User ID and Password

    The user ID and password for an administrator account with access to your local document store for NetDocuments. This account needs access to all the documents you want to index. (Note: The documents to be indexed in NetDocuments must be publicly available to West km members.)

    Service User ID and Password

    The user ID and password for an administrator account with access to the NetDocuments service. This account needs access to all the documents you want to index. (Note: The documents to be indexed in NetDocuments must be publicly available to West km members.)


  5. If you want to select a library group for this data source, see Selecting a Library Group for details.

  6. Click Save.

To return to the listing of data source connections on the Data Source Management page, click Connections List.

Before Indexing

Note that before you index documents stored in NetDocuments (see Indexing Document Collections), you need to set the following system options.

System Options, Server Configuration Settings, Proxy Settings page:

Entering your proxy server settings enables West km to communicate through your firewall to access documents from NetDocuments.
