Before Indexing
Note that before you index documents stored in NetDocuments (see Indexing Document Collections), you need to set the following system options.
System Options, Server Configuration Settings, Proxy Settings page:
- Web Proxy Host: The IP address or URL for your proxy server.
- Web Proxy Port: The port number used by the proxy server.
Entering your proxy server settings enables West km to communicate through your firewall to access documents from NetDocuments.
System Options, DMS Settings, NetDocuments page:
- Categories List Search: Identify a NetDocuments saved search that retrieves a list of other saved searches (or categories) for retrieving the documents you want to index in West km. The individual saved searches retrieved by this global saved search can be selected in West km for creating and indexing document collections. The individual saved searches retrieved by this global search must meet these requirements: (1) They must be sorted by last modified date, descending, and (2) The documents retrieved must be publicly available to West km members.
Field Mappings: Type the name of the NetDocuments field you want to use for each West km field. If your organization has multiple cabinets in NetDocuments, the field names that you map to West km must match across cabinets.
