Adding a Connection for a Generic Database
If you store documents in a document management system that is not currently supported by West km, you can use a generic database to index those documents in West km. To implement this solution, you create a new database in Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle Database, import data about the documents you want to index into the database, and then designate the database and document collection in West km for indexing.
For information on creating the generic database and importing data, refer to the West km Administrator Guide.
To add a connection for a generic database,
- Point to the Setup link, and then click Data Source Management.
- Click Add Connection from the Tasks list.
Enter the following information.
- If you want to select a library group for this data source, see Selecting a Library Group for details.
- Click Save.
